What is your opinion on any campground in CA?
I'm new to CA's state and national parks campgrounds. Looking for any reviews, INFO or wedsites on tent camping in CA.
I'm minimalist and a naturalist, that likes to bring only the basics, what do I need to bring?
I'm trying to find a good wilderness campgrounds. I hope to find one nearest a good fly fishing RIVER, in the southern Serraâs. Like near the rivers of OWENS, KERN, KING and ANY OTHERS...what are your suggests?
What areas are good and bad this late in the summer and WHY?
Answer
That is great!!
Camping on the rocky beaches along the coast between LA and San Francisco is a great memory for me. We would pull mussels off of the rocks toss them onto the grill... Yummmmy.
We also did a lot of camping in the Big Bear Mountains. You can get an off road permit from the park ranger's main office.
There are many streams and Big Bear Lake.
I am envious.... I will get back one day.....

planning group camping trip?
kdla
My friends and i are graduating from high school this year, so we want to take a trip together, for now we are considering going camping, most likely late June or early July. We are a group of 12, most of us will be 18 by the summer.
So i need help with where can we go near the Bay Area that isn't too expensive, would also prefer having a cabin over a tent.
It would be great if there is somewhere to swim ( pool or river, a hot tube would be amazing) and that we are permitted to have a camp fire.
Thank you.
Answer
Try Yosemite Kern village has tent cabins, or if you prefer the beach Try Patrick's Point state beach up in the redwoods
