I have been thinking about buying a flat acre of land and simply living year round in a tent there. Of course I would also have a car to go to work and such but overall just me a tent some camping equipment and some land. How much?

It depends where this acre of land is, if it's an acre in New York, well then good luck finding one. But, food and utilities would not be much at all.
