Camping in North Texas or Oklahoma....?

Does anyone know of any great camping locations in North Texas or Oklahoma? State Park? Private? Just water hookups or H2O & electricity. With a Lake or river would be great but not totally necessary. "Hike in" or "Drive in" Thanks. Tons of info would be awesome. Thanks.

Caprock Canyon SP is in North Texas. It is BEAUTIFUL! The canyons are absolutely fabulous. Bring your bikes and a compass! You can ride for miles and miles in the canyons, but it's easy to get turned around, hence the compass. You can also hike these trails as well. You can tent camp or RV camp and have nice showers and restrooms. They do have a primitive camping section that's walk in and a primitive potty. We spent a week there over Spring Break. Bring your poles b/c there are a few places to fish. Here's the link:

Palo Duro Canyon is the other side of Caprock. It too is beautiful.

Where are secluded campsites east of Oklahoma City?

Anywhere between Oklahoma City and Chattanooga? I love Chilhowee in TN. It is great tent camping 7 miles off the main road and no city lights. I'm looking to go camping with some friends. We will be driving in from different areas of the country. Not looking for back country camping, just something far off the road and away from town.

Thanks!

Check out Tims Ford State Park in Southern Middle TN at http://www.tn.gov/environment/parks/TimsFord/index.shtml
It is away from town on a beautiful lake. There is tent camping and cabins, boating, fishing, a Jack Nicklaus golf course, and lots of other activities. Nearby (but not too close) you can visit Jack Daniel's and George Dickel distilleries, Walking Horse Museum, Beechcraft Heritage Museum, Old Stone Fort State Archaeological Park, and lots of antique shops.
