How do you do tent camping in Yosemite without getting eaten by bears?

HomeSweetS

Where do you go to exactly? Do you have make reservations even for tent camping?

Answer
It's suggested that you make reservations to Yosemite well in advance. Now that Labor Day is near, once the holiday has passed, it may be easier to rent a cabin tent or even stay at the Hotel. If you follow the directions left by the rangers to lock your provsions in the bear proof containers and not in your camp or car, you should be bear safe. Here is a link for more info.

camping at Yosemite Park, CA?

Roby

Me and my girlfriend have decided to go camping at Yosemite Park, however we are having hard time to find a place for camping.

It seems that all the areas reserved around Yosemite Park have all been booked out.

Anyone can suggest a camping area where we can mount our small igloo tent?

Answer
Try the national forest areas outside the park. Near fish camp at the southern entrance is Summer dale. There are several dispersed Campsites on forest rd 6S07 and a couple of lesser used campgrounds farther in.
