Well i would have to say ditch lake shasta, its not that good, i would go to Lake County, in California, its in the Napa Valley area. Its is AWESOME, its has nice warm sandy shore and the lake is MAGNIFICENT! clear and warm, its about 70 degrees F, and is amazing.

Has anyone ever gone to Lake Siskiyou Camp Resort near Mt. Shasta? If so what is it like?

I am looking for somewhere family friendly, with good spacious, shady tent sites. I don't like rowdy crowds either like you find at places like Lake Berryessa, (drunken teenagers). Where else would someone recommend in the forest near the mountains in California. Anywhere from Sequoia NP up to Oregon border. Thank you!

There are several nice spots on the upper sacramento river, north of redding, and up to dunsmuir. check them out. Castle Crags has some good ones
