Best UK Campsites?

Eve

basically, for my birthday I want to go camping with a group of friends.
-i would like a campsite very close to the beach
-very basic (somewhere to pitch a tent and like showers)
-not very expensive
-lots of space (as there'll be about 15 people)

I dont really mind where in the UK but preferably somewhere reasonably easy to get to from London.

Any suggestion would help as so far ive only found full-on family parks with like fishing and pools. lol

Answer
try padstow, cornwall they seem to have basic field campsites in the summer set up in fields with loos & showers approx £5 a night.
it might be worth getting a look at ' camping & caravan club big sites guide' theres loads of basic campsites in there all over uk

need a campsite ... ANYWHERE in uk ?!?

one that provides caravans fo hire and doesnt require over 18's

i know this is unlikely but can anyone help??

me and my friends (all 16) love going camping together ... want to go again but dont want to wait till next summer and we arent kitted out for full blown camping in the cold.

orrrrr it would also be great to know of one that allows groups of 16 (soon to be 17) year olds that is open for more than just august. we can provide out own tents etc. in this situation.

thankss!!! :)

Answer
I know it is a nusiance but the fact is you are legally not a responsible adult until you are 18.

All camp sites have to have public liability insurance and part of that is that there has to be a 'responsible adult' meaning some one over 18 to be responsible for the group.

Some sites may accept that your parents whilst at home will accept liability for you but that is for your parents to arrange on your behalf.

Otherwise, you can always consider this

I think the good weather is over now for this year for camping but I do wish you the best with your venture##
