Do I need to worry about a bear attack in North Georgia?

I am taking a trip to the Blue Ridge area of North Georgia with some family who are staying in a cabin in October. I haven't been camping in a while and I wanted to take my backpack and tent and go on an overnight trip. The only thing is I'm nervous about bears. I live in Columbus Ga and usually go camping in the Pine Mountain area which I know alot better than North Ga due to the fact I've never been. Should I be cautious in October? Any pointers?

well usually if you do run into a bear just flap your arms and scream, it will think your after its eggs and fly back to its nest

Where can I find an inexpensive, used RV or camper in Georgia or South Carolina?

Would like it to have a/c, sleeping room for at least 6, and a bathroom. All else would be optional, or extra. We love to camp, are getting too old to sleep in a tent, but don't have lot of money to spend on an RV right now.
