best tent camping spots in colorado image

I am looking to take a week long camping trip. I would like to go somewhere in Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, or Idaho. Does anybody have any good suggestions?

In Colorado there are a bunch of wonderful spots to tent camp. Spruce Grove has some big boulders if you wanted to go rock climbing/rappelling. There is also a spot called Sylvan Lake where you can do just about what you want.

I'm looking for tent camping and in a national forest where we can just camp anywhere, ideally not a "camping site" where we will be more or less left alone.
Anyone know of any beautiful secluded places to camp in Colorado?

The trouble is that in the National Parks, you cannot just camp anywhere...you must be in a designated camping area. Now, I have been in very remote, areas , with o one or only one other camper nearby, but you never know. If you go during a busy season, you will be hard but to find an uncrowded spot. You can try the 1st site below. Second site below has several sites with info on camping in Rocky Mountain National Park...a fantastic place.
