best tent camping beach california image

Hey so I'm planning a camping trip for our youth group at church and I'm looking for a camping site for about 20-35 people. We are looking for tent camping grounds not RV or Cabins. A place in Nor-Cal would be prefered also. So if anyone knows a good place to go, the info would be greatly appreciated!

Our scouts camped @ Sunset State Beach, New Brighton State Beach/Park both in the Santa Cruz/Aptos Area..and the Russian River area..near the town of Gurneyville..Also try Casa De Fruita by Hollister..Have a good time..

Can you camp on Capistrano Beach in California?

Me and a few of my friends are planning a 2 day trip up to the beach, and we were wondering if you could bring a tent and literally camp out on the sand?

No you can't camp on the sand.
There are camping at Doheney Beach which is next to Capistrano Beach. The camp is up off the sand.
The campgrounds begin renting 1st of the month 7 months in advance (today being June 1, they rented for Jan 1, 2013). The prime beaches typically sell out the first day they are available.
