best tent camping rhode island image

Somewhere between Providence and Newport and Mystic. We would like a private site...maybe trees, or just room in between sites. We are not into big crowds....just a peaceful spot to relax. Any ideas?

you can't camp directly on the beach; but there is a great cheap state park about 2-5 mins from the beach called Fisherman's state park in Narragansett. It's located right on rt. 108 and minutes away from scarborough beach, sand hill cove beach and galilee. Good food all around too. hope this helps!

What is the best campsite for tent camping in New England?

Me and my friends want to take a camping trip this summer. We're all 16. I'm looking for a relatively wooded private campsite. It would be nice if it was near some nice hiking area with panoramic views. It has to be in New England. We would be camping in a tent, not an RV so utilities are not a problem, just a fire site would be nice. Thanks.
